Thanks for the warning. I've been avoiding the Interurban trail since they've had the sidewalks torn up at 128th anyway. Guess I'll continue to do so the rest of the year.

Since they closed off that section, I tried a alternate routes, and eventually settled on Burke-Gilman from Seattle to Bothell, and Bothell-Everett highway to Everett. It's probably going to be my default route even after the work is completed.

Haven't they made some improvements to the B-G from Bothel to UW/Seattle? Heard via the grapevine it was better.
At one time, the tree root bumps were so bad as to cause crashes. Leaf covered (and wet) rough pavement is doubly treacherous.

Still lots of roots, I got used to them. The closure was in the spring, so no leaves on the ground, though I'm guessing my Wednesday ride may be a bit different than what we've seen this summer. (I ride from Seattle-Everett on Wednesdays.)

Then again, I rode Everett-Seattle on X-Mas eve in 2" snow without incident.
