Seattle -- bike rental

I will be in Seattle for the last week of July and want to have a bike to get around. In the past, I've used Spinlister to rent a road bike with a rack. Since it was someone's personal bike, the cost was reasonable ($75 for the week). Since Spinlister has since closed up shop, I'm left with rental rates starting at about twice that.

Anyone in the Seattle area know of a more affordable bike rental? I've been doing some Sherlock to try and find email addresses for the guys I've rented from through Spinlister, but no luck yet. My point is that I'm willing to rent from an individual, if I can find someone who is willing.

What size frame do you ride? I'll ask around at work.

PS - Seattle has been inundated with cheap rental bikes, a la bike share. You don't want to use them. If anybody tells you an ofo or lime (etc) bike is the answer, don't listen to them, ask someone else.

LOL - Yes. Dallas has become GZ for the dockless bikeshare. We have 6 companies with bikes on the ground and a 7th about to enter the market.

toddles sent me a message last night and is going to loan me one of his bikes, so I'm all set now.
Thanks, y'all.

Houston buddy of mine for 60+ years does too. And he did stints in Pakistan, Gulf states, Indonesia and WA (W Australia). Skinny little rascal he is.

How does low 90’s in Seattle compare to high 90s in Dallas? No central a/c at my house, just 2 portable ones.

I always found car ads funny, when they list A/C as an "option." Kind of necessary down here. Down here, when we have days of 105 and whatnot, it barely gets to the mid-'80s at night. That means as soon as the sun comes up, it's aiming for 90 before lunch time. It can be pretty brutal.

Seattle amazed me, my first year there (2008 or 2009). I think the highs for a few days were 92 and 93. That's pretty toasty, especially without A/C. However, that was only for a half-hour or so and as soon as the sun went down, the ocean just sucked the heat off the city. I needed a wind-breaker, after dark.

My first ever time in California, I froze my ass off in San Francisco at night on July 17th. Many, many years ago.
