Questions on Seattle to Portland

Gonna do this for the first time and doing the two-day option. I don't need to kill myself. It's just supposed to be a good workout and fun. I was wondering, for those who have done it, when you stop at the halfway point, is there a place to charge our phones back up? How do you do this? Also, I see the Seattle bike club organizer is using RWGPS, which I also use. Are we just supposed to use that to guide us on the route so we don't get lost?

Thanks for this and any other tips you may have for a newcomer!!!!!!

You will probably be able to just follow a few of your 8000 new friends.

Kidding aside, you will most likely end up with a group going the same speed as you. I did it in one day and don't recall ever being out of sight of other riders.

2-day STP

Since you're doing the 2-day, yea just follow the ant line. You won't be out of sight of riders. And if you're not familiar with "Dan Henrys" aka road marking/signs, you'll see those painted in color on the road on major intersections and upcoming turns. If you're camping, then suggest bring a battery bank to recharge your phone and cycleometer. Or if you're staying at a BnB/hotel, charge your phone there.
