Ross Lake, North Cascades NP (update)

The resort will open in June - after WA moves to phase 2 and NPS opens - for boat rentals and water taxi service.

There's no MTB, but the camping and hiking are world class. I have sekret places to swim. There's old growth, waterfalls, high glaciated peaks, and wildlife. Great camps on the lake shore, in the forest, and up in high places on the trail.

Ok, this is starting to sound more like a love letter than an update. What I'm saying is camping on a giant glacial lake, maybe getting to your camp by kayak or canoe, is a good way to practice social distancing and feel like you're having an adventure. To balance the monotony of staying at home for weeks leading up to things opening again.
