I hail from Everett, WA which is 30 miles north of Seattle. There is a trail that travels the whole distance between Everett and Seattle that I ride quite often. Actually, pretty much every road around here is a trail, they almost all have bike lanes which is quite a treat. Whidbey Island is near and the beautiful Cascades are just as close but in the opposite direction. Ideal for cycling.

Hey everyone, I'm Justin, from Tacoma, WA. I'm in the military (happy to be stationed at home for once), and I've recently started commuting from Hilltop to Fort Lewis. It's 14 plus miles one way, but I'm enjoying it so far. I figured this is a good spot in the forum to talk about PNW-related issues (like rain). Anyway, that's me. Glad we have a PNW spot on the board!

Lake Stevens. I ride the Centennial Trail nearly every day. Work from home, so usually when it warms up or I can avoid roving rain clouds via Wunderground.
I'm pretty easy to spot. I ride a black highracer (similar to this: https://www.bacchettabikes.com/bikes/...arbon-aero-2.0 ) and usually wear a TT helmet with a visor to stop my eyes from watering uncontrollably (and bug protection... I swear small rocks have sprouted wings this year and are posing as bugs).

Hi, bike people. I'm in Portland and have recently rediscovered the joy of cycling after about a 20 year hiatus. And I didn't live in the PNW back then, so now it's even more joyful! Glad to have discovered this forum, much good stuff here.

Chattaroy, 20 miles north of Spokane. I enjoy riding the county roads north of Spokane, and commute into downtown once a week.

Mtn Mike said there's no biking in Spokane but that post was 5 years ago. Biking has grown here every year through the efforts of SpokaneBikes.org to promote Bike to Work Week (disclosure--I founded the group), the annual family-friendly SpokeFest ride (spokefest.org), the establishment of a beginner-friendly women's group Belles and Baskets (facebook.com/BellesandBaskets), and more. I see bikes every day of the week, we've added lanes, sharrows and separated trails, and the League of American Bicyclists designated us as a bike-friendly community at the bronze level in 2010.
Come ride in Spokane!

Hey threemonkeys, good to see another Kirklander (Kirklandite? Kirklandian?) here. I started last year and got hooked pretty hard myself. I live in the Juanita neighborhood and get out for at least one ride every weekend and sometimes I bike commute to work. I did about 2200 miles last year and I'm on pace for 3000 or so this year. Maybe I'll see you out there.

I'd better check in here as well. Skimming through the 37 pages of this thread there have been a few hailing from the Palouse but seems like they haven't stuck around (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Hey, my names Randy from Union Gap, WA, right next to Yakima. I currently ride a late 90's Trek 930 Singletrack with slicks and a milk crate on the back that my dog rides in. I just (re)started cycling 6 months ago when I developed tinnitus as a way to distract myself from the ringing in my ears and it's done the trick. It's the only thing that's helped me overcome the condition...and I've lost 40 pounds since I started as a plus.

Hello all, I'm from Troutdale Or. "beautiful gateway to the gorge" 20 mi. east of Portland. Great to be here, nice little community with good access to all the best things in life. Thanks for opening the Thread 55/Rad that looks like a sweet ride. I ride and old US made Road Master (recreationaly) with my custombuilt Rainfish umbrella for that great "Oregon liquid sunshine".
Cheers

Not a new rider, but new to the area. I moved to Everett almost a year ago. Just got back into biking, and most of my stuff is still in storage, so I've gotten a bit out of shape. I look forward to riding some real hills after being stuck in KS for 7 years.
