Entiat WA don't know to many people here to ride with

North Seattle/Shoreline to Everett commuter here. Just started at the beginning of August, just about have my commuter bike finished. 33 miles round trip, will be looking for four-seasons (three wet, one dry) gear suggestions. Already have a jacket and fenders (plus the ubiquitous Ortlieb panniers), just need the rest of the gear figured out.
Might look into group rides later on after I get some fitness built up. I already run and race motorcycles, so I'm pretty competitive as it is. Every commute is a sprint, every sprint requires a lap time, and every lap time is compared to the previous. It's a tough life... |

Hi all!
Retired 65yr old, single, male. Just rode up to Kent, WA from Ashland, OR in June. Don't like riding in big groups. Don't have a car....ride my bike exclusively. Will be here through the winter.....then riding south again........how far?......southern CA.....maybe further. Lol Would love to find riding buddy(s) to enjoy the trails with here. Thanks much. |
Seattle, Central District. Near the junction of I5 and 90.

There are many of us and I would love to put together a master list.
Let your presence be known and tell us what part of the area you hail from. Me - Sherwood Oregon. 20 miles southwest of downtown Portland. Makes for a great commute. 55/Rad Bob Anundson |

other builds. I started to strip the paint. I was gonna polish the aluminum & paint the chromo copper before rebuilding with upgraded parts, but haven't got 'round to it. If you'd like the frame set, I'm a little south of P.T. It would be a 'from scratch' build, but sumpin to keep busy during the rain? |
My name is Jeff...live in Kenmore. Mostly ride track bikes. If you see a red Viner track bike on the Burke Gilman, it's most likely me.

Thanks and hello, i've done quite a bit to it since that pic was posted, installed Surly racks front and rear, fenders, bar bag, mirror and new Ortlieb panniers all the way around. Been spending money hand over fist Hahaha!! This pic is from yesterday's ride, had 2 1/2 cases of soda pop in the Bob trailer for weight. This weather is awesome!

great! My area:)
I hail from Oregon, near Roseburg, but am living in Crescent City CA right now. Plan to stay as far as I know. I would love meeting some folks either close to me, or I can also haul my bike to meet people, which is probably what I'll need to do. This is a small town:) And I'm not close to anything very large. I prefer to go North when I go. I don't care for going further South at all.
Anyway, I'll look around at the topics. I am starting from scratch, although I'm in good shape (walk 16-24 miles a week) but I know bicycling is going to be a whole, other deal. I will have to start out on just logging some hours on my own etc. I'll be looking not just to meet some folks, but find out what I can about the whole deal or road-trips. I want to eventually camp along the way, carry my gear etc. Being a woman I am anxious to meet folks to ride with. I think even if I was a guy I wouldn't want to ride alone these days;) But I'm sure plenty of you do:) denise |

New to this forum and enjoying it so far! Dave I am new to riding, and really, I'm just starting to get serious about training for long rides, I mean just to be able to ride a few miles. I like how the towns on the Oregon Coast are laid out. I want to eventually be able to go that route before I try any other areas. I have to just get started riding in and around my small town first though:) Long way to go before I can really take road-trip:) |

Just keep after it, both the riding and the gathering of gear and you'll get it done. :thumb::thumb::thumb: |
