PDX Cross anybody?
I am going out to Alpenrose tonight for the cross clinic and will try to be at the race Sunday.
Got a getto cross bike, mtb GT $20 frame with a mix of old components but some new 1.35 cross tires.
Hope to see some of you there.
Ciao
Paolo

I'll be there- although I'm fighting off a cold, so planning on taking a bit easy- which doesn't really work in cyclocross, but it will still be fun.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Hi Gonesh how did it go?
I raced the Beginners and got a flat after a lap and a half so entered the c 35+ and had a blast, not sure where I was since I started at the end of the pack and I could not understand much.
I will be back for sure with better equipment, my getto bike had a few problems.....
Nice to see you out there Masher.
And Fishmel if you hear this, you should try cross, the ultimate trash for 45', you will love it! Ha ha.

Dabbo- I ended up not making it since my cold got worse and I decided to take it easy and recover. I'm planning on making the race out at Barlow this Sunday, though. I don't have anyone I know that races, so if you're planning on going maybe we could cheer each other on.
And I second the call out for Fishmel to come try it out- I know we were talking about it before... take the 29'er and take over the race!

Ciao Gonesh, I will be there, racing the C 35+, wearing my Italia jersey, white red and green, I have a purple GT MTB. What category will you be racing?
Last week I had to leave pretty quickly but hopefully this race I can stay and see some of the faster riders.
Hope to see you there.

Dabbo, it's the first race of the year for me, so I'm going to be riding in the men's C. Looks like we'll be starting at the same time-
I'll be in a light blue jersey with dark green Surly Crosscheck singlespeed.
Good luck, and see you then-

I'll be there. Hopefully I can actually finish this race without any mechanicals.
I'm surprised more people here aren't joining in the fun (or rather, the pain).

I guess now I know a bit more about ciclocross: mud and cold. Hillsboro was a lot of fun, race was fast and muddy and windy and .....
I did not see anybody there....were you there?
I liked the flatter course, it was not very technical but the mud slowed some of the riders down, I felt my weight even helped with traction! The getto cross bike even performed better than expected so no complaints.
