Shoreline Interurban

I have a question for you Seattlites. I commute from Gasworks Park to Everett a couple times a week. I usually take the long senic way using Burke Gilman/ Sammaish River trail to Bothel Landing then cut straight up Bothel Everett highway. Comming down on Friday I noticed that they have begun what looks like some pretty extensive construction northbound on the highway so I am looking for another route to head north. I used to ride by working my way up to 5th NE and then over to 15the NE to 56th in Mountlake Terrace then hook up with the Interurban up there. I have heard that the trail now comes down into Shoreline. Does anyone know where it starts? I looked at the County bike map and it look like they have a trail head just north of 185th on Meridian. Is this the one that hooks up with the Snohomish County Interurban? I had heard that it may be as far south as the old Sears Store at 155th and Aurora? I am not really looking for the fastest way home just the sanest during rush hour.

you can hit the interurban in shoreline next to 99 and 185th. It continues from there all the way to 145th. You even get to experience the two new bridges build for the trail to cross 99 and 155th. They are working on the section that connects 185th to 205th. After you get off the interurban in Lynnwood head west over to meridian and turn at 185th, most of that section in Shoreline has bike lanes.

From 145th at the south end of Shoreline Trail section Linden Ave N. runs to N 128 St and a Trail runs to about 105th then Fremont Ave N is a convenient route to the Green Lake area.
