Fair warning, based on some of your post, you may not like my route. I strongly recommend riding VC through Kipapa Gulch on Kamehameha Hwy (I also strongly recommend using a helmet mirror for Kipapa Gulch) don’t hug the shoulder; make drivers move left to pass you.
I take Queen St. until it merges into Nimitz Hwy
follow Nimitz Hwy to under the viaduct (Except at rush hour - I will bypass some of the heavy traffic backlog by turning right on Waiakamilo Rd. and zigging left - right - left - right a block at a time to get over to Dillingham - then proceed back onto Nimitz Hwy under the viaduct - being sure to take the left lanes to get onto Nimitz OR stay right and get on the bike path - it has lots of glass and you have to be careful at the merges and exits for Nimitz)
stay on Nimitz or take the bike path to Kam Hwy
follow Kam Hwy to the Pearl Harbor Bike Path
(At Lehua Ave. I get back on Kam and follow it - but you will likely prefer the following slightly longer route)
get off bike path - turn right on Waipio Point Access Road (behind Waipahu High School)
cross light onto Kaualii St
turn right onto Kahuanui St
turn right onto Waipahu St Ext
Turn left back onto Kam at the light
Follow Kam through Kipapa Gulch to Mililani.
