My photography skills are quite limited, but it has both Oregon and Washington in it. Not very beautiful, but gorges.

Yeah. My kid took me there for his recovery ride after a triathlon. (His is the bike on the left.)

25 years ago last month while crossing the country with a group of 12 others. Colonial Creek Campground on WA 20 did not take reservations, so Ellen and I volunteered to be "rabbits." We set out early from Howard Miller Steelhead Park to secure campsites. (Mush to my surprises, the place was not busy at all.) Made a brief stop at the little store in Newhalem for coffee. (It was May 31st, and cold in the morning.) After picking sites and dropping our gear, we rode back west to meet others from the group. It was my first time riding in the mountains out west.

Spent the long Independence Day weekend on the McKenzie River system in western Oregon. It’s near where we live but this was our first visit. I can’t believe we didn’t explore this sooner.

The water is 43 degrees F. We were hiking the trail around it but came across several mountain bikers. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c63857ce3.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7cff05528.jpeg |
