This is along the Iron Horse Trail, near Snoqualmie Pass. I shot it from a 30 mile bike ride with some friends; we passed a stream with some waterfalls, and decided it would be an ideal place for lunch. While they were eating, I snuck off with the camera and shot this.

Yes - it looks like it was tagged by the fish and wildlife department. Several of them had tags in their ears.

My wife by Sequim Bay on our tour from the Snoqualmie Valley out to the Hoh Rain Forest in 2008.

Great idea with the dufflebag atop the rear rack. How was balancing w/ the weight higher?

Actually its a backpack! We were heading for the Hoh Rainforest for some backpacking. The balancing of the weight didn't prove to be an issue, but we were loaded pretty heavily heading into the Olympic Nat'l Park being as there are no amenities past a certain point.

Thanks, it was an amazing ride. Dreams of a century are not small, I did my first one in 2004 and it was a very big deal to me.

What a beautiful cow moose. Is that outside your window in nine mile falls, or in BC?

From a couple of my more casual rides.

Nine Mile Falls. We get them in the yard once or twice a year. Besides the obligatory deer, wild turkeys and coyotes, we've had a bear or two and even a lynx traipse through our property. I'm waiting for the day we see an elk - - then I'll know we have 'arrived.'
