Fall can be great too
^ C'mon guys this is Fall in the NW, quit cry'n in your beer and be ready for opportunities. When the weather is nice outside you just have to pull out all the stops and go, don't wait because you never know if this is the last good day of the year. I submit yesterday as a prime example:

Northbend - You got a link to the route you did?
Looks amazing!!!
I only complain because I really prefer bike camping, and it's getting a little too cold/rainy for me to really enjoy it.

zoltani, the mt baker scenic byway is State Route 542. It is an out n back route starting in Bellingham. There is an exit for it off of I5. I have ridden the entire route (over 100 mi) before but find the first 50-60 miles is kinda crowded and uninteresting. Usually I start from Maple Falls or Glacier as this is where the traffic really drops off and what cars you do see are usually other sports minded people that give you plenty of berth. Saturday I started from Glacier which means it's about a 40 mile r/t to the Ski area and a couple miles more to Artists Point where you see all that snow.

Such gorgeous photos! I can't imagine riding a bike up a mountain, though.
I'm no photographer with an eye like my twin, but here are some I like.
Lava Beds, July
Malone Reservoir in Oregon, August
we fixed the dock
Sunrise at the bus shop in Klamath Falls, October
Snow! at the bus shop, November
and
yes I did

Mercer Lake, north of Florence:
It was raining this day, so nobody was out on the lake. Lots of fish jumping and ospreys patrolling.
Bridge over the north fork of the Siuslaw River, heading West into Florence:
