Seen today on my commute
 

Man, it was really a nice ride home from work tonite. Shorts, a shortsleeved shirt and sunglasses - nice!

The Sammamish River Trail was crawling with people, as could be expected.

Two things that I saw that caught my eye:

Thing #1: Woman, early 20's, rollerblading down the center of the trail, ipod earbuds in, eyes down and typing on her phone keyboard as she was rolling along - very oblivious to the chaos she was causing all around...

Thing #2: Two gals in full team kit on what looked like very nice bikes bikes hauling in a mini paceline down the very crowded trail going very fast - with the gal in front fully settled into her aerobars...WOW

The warm sunny days seems to bring out all kinds of spectacles. Anyone else have any unusual viewings today?

I took my usual 'first day of spring' ride down the MUP to see how it was, and it was much as you described: Crowded.

The thing that really stuck in my mind was the number of recumbent trikes out today. In the 6 mile stretch from Wilmot Gateway to 90th St, I must have seen 5 'bent trikers out there.
