Sunday June 28th, Spokane :thumb:
Registration is open for the Four Mound Prairie Road Race. This is the 2009 Masters and Juniors state championship road race. The course is a variation of an old Spokane favorite with a nice climb, gentle rollers, and quiet country roads. There will be six Masters fields, four juniors fields, and a non-championship elite category 4/5 field. More information: http://www.spokanerocketvelo.com/200...techampionship Online registration: http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=8417 It will be a great weekend of racing in the Inland NW. Hmm, sounds like fun, thanks for posting!
So can anyone get into the Cat 4/5 race? Just wondering since it's the "Elite 4/5" category on the flyer. I'm a new Cat 5, but certainly not yet "elite." =] |

:D that's a common question. By USA Cycling definition, Elite = "Senior" = anyone who is not a Junior or a Master. So yes, you certainly qualify for the category 4/5 elite race. Out of curiosity, have you been racing the Twilight Series?
So far I've only done 7 races, 6 at Seward Park and then Ballard last weekend. I have yet to race on that side of the mountains, but would like to. |
I'll apologize for the thread hijack upfront -
Mattm - is there a typical or standard date and time for the races at Seward Park? I'd love to take my daughters to watch the event. Thanks and good luck! |

I might try to make it out there for that weekend. Just coming back from an injury (from a different sport) and trying to build my race legs these next few weeks.
Do we have to pre-register? Also, is the race hotel still available? or should i start considering host housing? I'll be racing the A's. |
