A friend and I are planning on riding Monster Cookie this year. They support you pretty well on that ride.

Wife and I will be there. Fun ride, Monster Cookie '08 was our first "long" ride, so it is kinda special. For whatever it is worth, this year we are planning our first double century, Monster Cookie got us hooked on putting on miles!

Shifty, KRhea here, myself and the whole Portland Velo crew will be riding the Monster! Last year we brought 63 riders and this year our goal is 100 club members.
See you there.

Ben, don't let that stop you, there's an airport 3 miles from the start!! ;-)
KRhea, sounds great, I'll look for you, may be able to start with your group! I need to join PV, maybe a Eugene chapter is needed!
Low snowpack on McKenzie Pass, should be clear for bikes only riding in May, maybe a big group day, let's talk.

I rode it the last two years and am really bummed that I'll be missing it this year. I have to fly to Germany for a business trip that week. I tried to figure out a way to do the ride and then catch a flight that would get me to Germany by Monday morning, but between the travel time and the time difference it just isn't happening.

Andy, I think I have you beat. I'm working on getting up to snuff for some longer rides and would love to get in on some organized rides, but karma's a b**ch. This year, I have unchangeable family or work obligations on the same dates as every ride that is interesting to me--the Monster Cookie, Strawberry Century, and Peach of A Century. It's just not going to be my year.

I sure hope we get a day like today for the Monster Cookie Ride. It is fun in the rain, but better on a nice sunny day! See you there!
