Mountain Biking Near Portland?
Hey, I wasn't sure whether to post this in the "Mountain Biking" Forum or in this but I think this one will get me an answer sooner. If this is the wrong spot my apologies, I'm new here. My question is, are there any good easy beginner mountain biking trails in or near Portland Or? Nothing crazy but at the same time not just a flat path, I want to be challenged slightly by it...
Thanks |

Check out the Northwest Trail Alliance, IMBA affiliated MTB organization in the greater Portland area.
http://www.nw-trail.org/ You can also check out the trail wiki on the Evergreen MTB Alliance website. Evergreen is more Western and Central Washington focused, but there are a few trail descriptions down your way: http://evergreenmtb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page |
Thanks! That helps a lot!

You also should check out the Black Rock trail system near Dallas, OR (west of Salem). They have a variety of trails with easy, intermediate and difficult markers, and it's in a beautiful State forest. It's worth the drive, and part of the fun is watching the better riders on the jumps and steep trails. http://brmba.org/index.php?option=co...id=4&Itemid=11
