Seattle area coops
I haven't ever had the opportunity to check out a bike co-op and was wondering what's available in the Seattle area. I'd like to check one or two out in my next trip over the "mountain".

Cool - thanks, I'll have to check both out. Being in a college town it'd be great to start a co-op here.
Not quite sure yet when I'll be over - I need to come pick up my sister's bike that was involved in an accident during a ride a few months back (someone else was riding it) so I can fix the issues with it now. She's pretty ticked about it.
I have the Manastash Metric this Saturday and then I'm taking a week off the bike (unless I come to Seattle
) - I'm feeling a little overtrained.

Overtrained?!?! Look at riding as entertainment instead of training then you will not feel that way. PM me If you have time to ride when you are over here. PM me anyway when you are over, may be I will join you for the co-op hopping. Hope your sister's bike is not too damaged.

the bikery https://www.thebikery.org/ is a really great coop-- you can pay very reasonable hourly rate for stand time or volunteer to earn stand time. Bike works has programs for getting kids wrenching-- as far as I know it is not set up for dropping in like the bikery is.
