Burke Gilman Trail Construction
 

Friday is looking like it should be nice so I was thinking of taking the long way home from Kirkland along the BG trail. Has the construction started yet? Is the entire trail still open or not? Not supposed to start til may, just wondering if it's already been closed for some reason.

The big construction hasn't started yet (as of tonight's commute). There is a section that was closed yesterday and today due to mud slide and downed trees, but they've provided a detour onto one of the private lake front roads. The detour is probably ~1/2 mile. Piece-o-cake. I don't know when this will be resolved, but it's not an inconvenience.
