Seattle to Portland Helmet Cam Video

I hope you enjoy this video. If you missed the ride, train and do it. It is magical.

Nice video, thanks for sharing.

But calling that ride magical is a bit much. Descending off Washington Pass on a clear day, that's magical. Riding to Sunrise and drinking in the views, that's magical. Riding STP in one day, that's an experience.

I disagree. It can be a magical ride. I took 8 newbies this year. All were grinning ear to ear the whole ride and can't wait until next years ride. We rode to Castle Rock on day 1. Did about 140. That was at least 90 miles more than anyone of them had ever rode in one shot before. Put us in Portland at a great hour on Sunday.

Was this your first STP?

This was my 2nd STP. I exercised some pretty strict heart rate and cadence controls to ensure that I would not hate the last 30 miles like I did the first time I wrote it. @woodway I'll have to try that one so that I can redefine magical. :-)
