That was a lot of fun. The route is beautiful. There was a great turnout. I would guess that a couple of hundred riders took off for the 45/75 start. The snack stops were nicely spaced, with awesome snacks. Lots of homemade cookies and treats plus the usual bagels and pastries. The volunteers were all very nice and encouraging. The temps at the start were pleasant, but it got warm by the time we were into it 50 miles. It had to be in the upper 80's. As long as we kept moving, we stayed cool. The scenery along the route was beautiful. We passed basalt plains, pine forests, rolling wheat fields, and several lakes. Including swamps and ponds we counted at least 10. There were no difficult climbs along the route. Only 2 that really got me breathing hard. The total elevation gradiant on the route is 400 feet. My garmin says I climbed 1450 feet total. Lunch at the end was very good, and the Ben and Jerry's ice cream topped it all off. I would definitely ride this one again.

Glad you enjoyed the ride! I always have such a good time up there. I ran into 2 couples that I met down here in Moses Lake that I had mentioned the ride to and they both showed up and surprised me, it was awesome!
With the late registrations, the organizers were talking closer to 700 riders than 600. Another great turnout!
Perfect weather and great support again
