Ride the Hurricane
Great ride this past weekend. Wasn't heavily promoted in the Seattle area. Was told they sold 310 out of an available 500 spots the Park Service allowed.
Nice to ride to Hurrican Ridge without cars, at least after the higher start location. Weather was perfect. Will return for sure. Made a weekend out of, hit Sol Duc for a soak afterwards and Lake Crescent Lodge for dinner. |
Only about five weeks away, anyone doing the hurricane ridge ride this year, I rode it yesterday with not much traffic but I am sure that will change with the warmer weather coming on. The road is in perfect shape all the way to the top and this year they say there will be no pilot cars for the trip down the mountain.

How much snow is left up top? I was thinking about riding up next week.

I haven't done this ride yet, but I've been wanting to. Do you have any pics to entice us with?

The first several miles are chip seal but from the park entrance all the way to the top is blacktop that is only a couple of years old. |

Well it sounds like it was a great decision! Thanks for the update on the road conditions.
