Wenatchee area ride question
The family and I will be camping at Confluence State Park in Wenatchee from Wednesday thru Sunday. I'd like to ride up to Mission Ridge on Thursday - what's the best route to take from Confluence - the river trail then cut across on the city streets? Going to hopefully talk my wife into letting me ride out to Entiat on Friday morning and back. After that group functions will take over so there won't be much riding on Saturday/Sunday.

Try this map. Too bad you can't go Wed. (4th) or Sat/Sunday; I'm off work and would gladly ride with you. Missions a great ride, but not the only great one around here. Malaga/Joe Miller road, Cashmere/Leavenworth, or up the Entiat River road are much more scenic and interesting than Entiat and back. The Loop Trail is a fun 10 mile family ride, but you'll need to detour onto a busy street (Sunset) over in East Wenatchee to get around the high water.

Cool - thanks for the map. What's the elevation change up to Mission. I actually live on the backside (Ellensburg) of Mission and have often contemplated riding the mtb up and over from my house. We won't be getting in on the 4th until mid-afternoon and then have some friends stopping by the campground.

There's at least 3,500 ft. of climbing and no place where it flattens out for recovery. I usually take a few breaks to catch my breath when I need one. You'll love the fast ride back down; watch for bad pavement. The wife and I drove the SUV over the Clockum Pass last year from Ellensburg and found it to be very rough, poorly marked, and long. There may be better and more direct trail between the towns though.
