STP in one day, then another 100?

I have a few friends doing the STP this year, which is great. My normal riding buddy and I decided after last year that we would do it in 1 day this year. The problem is that my other group of friends is doing it in 2 days. So, we are considering doing it in one day, then riding the second day again with the other group. Anyone done this before?

That is kind of what we thought too. The friends doing it in two days, it will be their first time and they are going to be riding a much slower pace. We figure after doing all 200 the first day, a more relaxed pace will be welcome.

IDK, after doing 200 miles in one day the last thing I want to do is get back on the bike and do another 100. But if it sounds like fun to you have at it...

Are you moving forward with this plan? Yesterday's ride was awfully hot. The heat and the afternoon headwinds took a lot out of me. I couldn't imagine doing another 100 today.

Nope. Didn't do it for a few reasons. For one, the friends that we're going to do it in two days decided to do it in one, so no real reason to do the second day. The other reason is I was spent after 200 miles in temps over 90 degrees!
