any recs for cheap used bikes in Seattle?

I'm visiting Seattle for a week. I haven't found anywhere in Seattle that will rent a bike to you without a credit card, so I'm considering buying a cheapy and then giving it away or tossing it once I'm done.

Are there any shops/co-ops in town that with used bikes around $100-$200? Craigslist is an option (I guess) but since I'll be without a car in a city I know nothing about I think my range will be a little limited.

I might just buy a $100 fixed gear from Target or something. Of course, wheeling a fixie through the checkout line at Target is pretty much as embarrassing as buying an industrial-sized tub of KY jelly, so I thought I'd at least see if there were any other options before disgracing myself.

try Recycled Cycles: Recycled Cycles | Seattle's Used Bike Shop | When you get in the store tell them what you're trying to do and they may be able to effectively set you up with a one-off rental.

Might want to call these guys and tell them your situation and see if they have anything that works.

Haha, yeah I know... really hoping to avoid the dishonorable dismount. But I think I can handle it though. Especially on 5-10 mile rides exploring the city. I'd rather not ride a fixie even in the flattest of cities, but a bike at $100 is entirely disposable, so that's why I was considering that route.

My guess would be if anything turns to mush in that situation it would be the cranks on a $100 bike, not my legs.

Also, thanks for the recs everybody. Recycled Cycles allows people to use debit cards with rentals so I'll probably give them a shot.
