Oh yes, the Redskins look like they are headed to a spectacular campaign as well.

This autumn will be a facepalmer all the way around.

No kidding? how much involvement does your coach have in your training/life? Just there for scheduling or slapping that cheese burger out of your hand. Either way, pretty cool.

No. I don't go to the theater anymore. Watch at home, so I'm a bit behind. I've got a list of 50+ movies that I want to check out. Heck, I have so many shows from last year recorded that I haven't gotten to that it's starting to delete some to record more. Comfy chair hasn't been a contact point much lately.

You guys want me to start espousing on how great a year the Lions are going to have? You think pcad and his mets are bad. You should hear the Lions Lemmers around here. There arent enough palms to deliver an adadaquate palm to face ratio.

Many of the idiots I'm chasing on the Tu/Th/Sa group ride have or have had a coach. I think they spend time up front face to face setting goals and what not and then much is done via eMail.

edit - Please note that my frequent reference to the cyclist I'm trying to keep up with as "idiot" or "nazi" is not intended as any sort of slight, nor is it directed at the 33. In my view all cyclists are idiots and the faster ones have a tendency to become nazis (they also remain idiots.. it's like dual citizenship).

I checked the top overlap for my wife...it does not exist and she is 5'0" on a 47cm trek 1.2

I am actually closer to the front wheel with my 55cm BMC. I think the geo matters a lot more than the actual size of the bike. (of course the 165 v 175 cranks and shoe sizes matter too)

Because I am feeling generous here is a picture of said adorable wife before todays ride. She is getting faster, I think buying an elliptical a few weeks back must have helped we averaged 16.7 mph and were really cruising on the way in to the point where she is benifiting from my draft.

I cant imagine how cool, and frustrating it must be to actually take yourself so far in your own training as to get 0 gain, and need a coach to improve past that point. awesome.

No. It's just a question of how much could one gain, how quickly with vs. without someone helping to schedule and push a bit I think. I don't think it's all that expensive..?...

umd - about how much $$$ are we talking?

Do you think heckler felt compelled to post a picture of his wife, just to reassure her that it's a sausage fest around here and he isn't spending his time in some Asian internet chat room?

I found out ramadan is starting soon. It sounds like something cyclists might want to introduce into their calendar. A whole month of fasting! Muslim cyclist should be well skinny by the end.

My dad is Muslim. When he got older and scared to die, he started to take Ramadan very seriously. It was problematic for everyone involved.

He didn't get any skinnier.
