I've been around, just not on BF. My girlfriend is leaving for 5 months tomorrow, so I've been spending a lot of time with her. I've also been working on a school project that involves a whole bicycle safety/awareness that the university is going to start using. It involves a safety video, posters, powerpoints, bike safety courses, and short DIY-help videos. The university is trying push for alternative forms of transportation and allow students to rent out bikes (Kona World bikes) for the whole semester while raising awareness about bike commuting to school.
I've also been playing WoW lol.
As for biking, I haven't really done any road rides since November. I've done quite a few mountain bike rides... At work, we've got a four session mountain bike course that I'm going to help "teach." We're also going to start weekly guided rides from work starting in March, which I get to help out with. Other than that, the only real riding I've done is from my commutes.

I am really starting to get annoyed at the weather.
I generally do club rides on Wednesdays and Saturdays....the past 2 weeks have been canceled due to icy streets, and it looks like we are getting another winter storm this Saturday.
I really don't mind the cold and will ride in temps in the teens, no problem...but if the streets are icy it's just not safe.
Effin weather...

That's a bummer about your girlfriend separation. I'd be interested to see the safety video if it ever gets posted online, Maybe I should take a riding course? I don't feel very safe sometimes.

We're getting our ideas from this video...

Instead of dressing as apes, we'll be riding sea creatures. I'll be riding a seal.

Glad you're alive ptle.
Although sharks are scary, I do not support the unnecessary killing of sharks.
That being said, I've done a lot of shark fishing. Never caught one. If I had, I would have released it, which would have been scary.

I've cooperated with the catch and release of a shark. Once it was released, watching that dorsal fin swim around in the same water I regularly swam in was scary.
And then there was Jaws.
And then there was Jaws.

I've caught a couple sharks surf fishing in Florida. It's frowned upon by everyone else. I can't control what bites my hook.

sbxx you might enjoy this one..
I just sat in on a case involving a cop performing a Terry Search on a..car. He pulled the guy over on suspicion that the guy had drugs--though there was no articulable suspicion for the stop in the first place. The guy declined to have his car searched, so the cop proceeded to do a Terry Stop, and actually patted down the inside of the car. He found a bag of meth. Despite the fact that the judge had a field day with the cop, this guy still spent about 42 hours in jail. Cops are real dicks somtimes.

Did the cop admit he pulled the car over without any reasonable articulable suspicion?

I tried hard not to lol when the judge asked the cop if he though the car might pull a gun on him
I recently had a similar win, but the car was "suspicious" because it was leaving a bar parking lot after last call. Very suspicious.

In the area I live, if you look like you're in your 20s and are seen driving past midnight on Friday or Saturday, there's a good chance you're going to get pulled over and breathalized. I was 3 times last year, and passed every time. It's out of control.

Folks with big piggy banks might wanna think about melting down some coinage.
$0.0297571 is the melt value for the 1909-1982 copper cent on February 03, 2011.
$0.0720954 is the melt value for the 1946-2011 nickel on February 03, 2011.
