So I brought some bikes into the house from the garage.

Makes the house less empty.
Makes me smile.
Is this an illness?

Buddy of mine drug the engine he was rebuilding into the kitchen when the wife was away. Whilst torquing down the head, she walked in. Which alone would have been a problem, but not wanting to lose his place in the sequence he didn't look up or say hello until he finished.

Soon enough he had as much alone time with his engines as he wanted.

I can reset the house in 10min. And she is 1,000 miles and 2 planes flights of advance notice away.


And By The Way - i do not talk to them.

it nice to have favorite items closer to ones self. There is no cure for this illness.

Doesn't everyone store their bikes in the house? I once had a woman who complained about my bikes being in the house. She woke up to find my Harley parked in the dining room the next day. After that, there was never a mention of my pedal bikes being indoors.

My living room is full of bikes and tools and repair stands. They're my bona fides, man.

I guess as long as you don't dress the bikes up, and start inventing conversations going on between them, you're OK. ;)

I'm not a Physician or Psychologist (nor have I ever pretended to be either), but I think that would be called a sickness not an illness. :foo:

My first fiancé (took a few times to get it right!) once complained that “you love your bikes more than you love me.”

You've heard the joke, if you lock you wife and dog in the trunk of your car for an hour, which will be happy to see you when you open it?

I like where you've positioned the different frames with various background colors. I know that must have taken a lot of thought!

The blocks with letters Giro D Italia......Where those left over from kids or grandkids??? Does your wife know they are being used that way?
What's the story on the clock and the "dry sink"? Are they heirlooms???
Who plays the piano? I took lessons for years and had to play recitals with my two sisters sitting on both sides of me on piano bench..........I hated it then but wish I'd take it back up again.
And there is a laundry basket on the stair landing plus unopened mail on the bannister post. Obviously you must have started something but gotten distracted??? I'm guessing it's the bikes' fault???

My other passion is sailing but a 30 ft. sailboat does not fir in a living room. On the other hand, you can move into a 30 ft. boat but if you want company, better make it a 49 footer.

Illness? God no.

I hope it's not an illness. I do the same when my daughter and her mother are away. It allows me to fettle in comfort.

Dry sink??? The umbrella stand is an 8" brass shell casing. USNavy issue.
Piano, we all tickle the keys a bit. Me = not very ticklish.
Laundry, mail = OK Little Miss Prattle, it must be the bike's fault.

Voyeurism = check with your local optometrist - it may be an illness for which they have a pillness.

Smiling makes you live longer.

I always keep my bikes in the house. I do work in them in the cubby hole by my bedroom. Bikes and pets should never be left outside!
