Lugged Multitrack frames can fit up to 48mm tires I believe. I am running 43mm GravelKings on my 1990 750 21" frame with no issues.

Found it, its 26.4. Measured by a bike shop and engraved on the steerer tube. Thanks all.

If anyone is needs this info, the 1990 Trek Multitrack 750 takes a 1" threaded headset with 26.4 (ISO)...

To update this thread, I ended up with a lugged Trek Multitrack 750 and I'm loving it. Still curious to try a vintage mountain bike though.
