The Hour Record - Where Does It Go From Here?
The renewed competition for the Hour Record has been fun to watch.
But will the record go dormant again after Wiggins' attempt in a month? He is saying he could break 53 km tomorrow, and that his goal is to put it out of reach for a generation with 55 km. Tony Martin hasn't said anything about trying it, and Cancellara has ruled it out.
What's your thoughts?

Wait and see what Wiggo posts. Maybe his record will stand for 20 years, maybe Martin will nail it next year, maybe some hotshot Lithuanian kid nobody's heard of will break it in 2 years' time. The only thing certain is that it will continue to be increased, just at what rate.
At least it's an open-ended record, as in the only way is up. Sooner or later, timed records over distance have to hit a wall of possible human achievement; there is no way to run 100m in 0s, but you can always go +1m in an hour.

Froomedog got it. There's nothing that 120 pounder can't do!
