World Track Championships

I've been watching these all week on the BBC. Some great riding there all week, with a brilliant , exciting ride at the end by Cavendish & Wiggins to take the Gold Medal in the Madison.

It's a great pity this event has been banished from the Olympics this year. One of the best to watch.

The Madison was a great race. Wiggo and Cav turned in quite a performance. Especially after Cav went down hard.

I am not into track cycling because I haven't seen much, but I have watched some of these championships and have enjoyed some events. Never seen a scratch race before and I found this one quite exciting. I recorded the final day and am looking forward to the Madison. I heard the result elsewhere so you didn't spoil it for me.

I had recorded the final day and last night watched The Madison. Wow, that was exciting! Wiggins and Cavendish was great!

Not just this year. The change was made befoe London 2012. No Madison, no individual pursuit, the track programme has been truncated with several events ditched and replaced by the Omnium. It's a disgrace, imo.
