I was watching The Discovery Channel and they have these little 30 second "road to the tour" spots; designed to teach us about Le Tour De France.
This particular spot taught us all about what the colors mean of the different jerseys. When they got the the green jersey; the voice over told us "the green jersey is worn by the previous day's stage winner." As most of us know, that is simply not true - although it does work out that way sometimes. The WORST part is; they will keep running that spot and it will make me cry every time. |
Wowzers. I wonder how that got through the proofing process?

somebody just lost their job
|
I saw that. that commercial makes baby jesus cry.
|
I don't have cable, but I was visiting my family and was surprised to see that commercial on their TV.
The commercial also mentioned something similar to the one "who takes it all" is the polka-dot jersey! What does that mean? |
I too saw that dumb commercial. It's such a basic TDF fact that could be looked up on line in a matter of minutes. No idea how it could slip past the writer, editor and narrator.
Go Discovery! |
wtf is Lance doing? Why didn't he catch this?
|
Too funny. :) We definitely need to joke around about disparate jerseys. Maillot Brun should be heavily debated come TdF time.
|
Not sure who is gonna contest the maillot brun
but I think Joost Posthuma is a serious threat to take the maillot pourpre. |
You guys are just being mean-spirited. Me likey. I knew there was a reason I keep comming back around here.
|
HAHAHA! Uh... What's a "jersey"?
