One thing for sure is, He'll be back. Same thing happend to Lance a few years ago. They said he'd have lost the Yellow anyway. How? He had a 2 second lead and they came in 2 seconds behind. Would it have just gone up for grabs?

did you hear that? if zabriskie had crash half a kilometer closer to the finish line he would have been awarded the same time as the team. bummer luck.

Im confused about how to feel In one way i wanted to see lance win his last team time trial but i would have also loved to have seen dave keep it going for a bit longer... sigh
(but either way i feel pretty sorry for him, looks like its going to be painful)

Bitter ending for CSC. Ouch! They did such a valiant job!
The team couldn't wait for their rising star and did not win the stage either.
As consolation, they've done an excellent job of keeping Ivan Basso in contention. They placed him well in the GC in preparation for the mountains. Now if they can keep him healthy over the next two weeks.....

i wanted the OLN reporter to ask "so georgie, are you gonna hop on the first break tomorrow and leg it out? You're only 55 seconds off the yellow jersey? Think about yourself for a change!!"

Watching Zabriski limp in wearing the Maillot Jaune was
about the saddest thing I've seen in a tour.
The finish was absolutely heartstopping, the excitement
was paramount, DZ going down was just plain heartbreaking.
I think he would have pulled them to first if he hadn't
crashed much the way lance, jan, floyd and levi pulled
their respective teams to the finish.

I'm really bummed for Dave. It was nice seeing an american other than Lance in yellow, and I was hoping he'd keep it today.

No one carries the DogBoy
Discovery has 5 of the top 10, CSC has 4 of the top 10 and the lone T-mobile rider stands out like a sore thumb. It will all change when the support riders start doing their jobs and the finishes are more spread out. Despite the DZ crash, I'm glad to see Basso up in the top 10 finally. If he can keep his legs I do think its possible for him to put 1:30 into lance in the Mtns.

You know there was a slight hesitation when DZ went down, because guys would have heard the crash, and Riss would have been screaming on the radio to keep going. Even a few guys turning to look behind them would have been costly. Had DZ not gone down, CSC may have lost by second, but still had the yellow.

What a shame. Not the way to lose the yellow jersey. Would have been tied for first with lance had he not crashed. That really sucked.

That figures. A french cop takes out the American leader of their beloved race...What the he!! was he doing standing in the course on the outside of that blind curve anyway, cop or no cop? I've never before seen anybody on the course in the last couple of klicks of a stage...that's why the barriers are there!
After that stunt F1 pulled at Indy last week, I'm convinced the french will do anything to embarass the US. Remember, it was a fight between Michelin and the F1 powers that be that sunk the U.S. F1 race...
For Lance's sake, I hope I'm wrong...
