Audi Nines 2020 (slopestyle and freeride)
BikeForums is pretty road-bike focused but I thought I'd start a thread if anyone wants to ooh and ahh over the big sends at the Audi Nines 2020, a slopestyle and freeride event that happened last week in Germany.

German rider Nico Scholze landed the first Cordova Flip on a Downhill bike and Italy’s Diego Caverzasi completed a Backflip Barspin to Cliffhanger, while Swedish powerhouse Emil Johansson dominated the event’s contest runs, winning Best Freeride Line and Ruler of the Week.

The drone camerawork is pretty incredible too, if you enjoy appreciating that sort of thing. Watch it chase them through the deeply banked corner in the slopestyle course...

I've seen this stuff before and I think it's been around for a long time in various forms. Just leaves me with my jaw sorta slack. Much like how I used to skateboard down the hills when I lived in Missouri at a very young age, then many years later saw what the rest of the world was doing on a skateboard.
I like to watch, but I'd never understand it enough to speculate about who is and who isn't and why they are or aren't.

Like any trick sport, ski, skate, or BMX versions included, it's judged on difficulty and precision. I don't think there's a formal points system per trick like there is in figure skating. From Pinkbike article on judging:
I don't think line choice is in play at this event. At Rampage there seems to be a lot of ways down the mountain.
The categories for judging at Rampage are as follows;
1) Fluidity and Style
2) Air and Amplitude
3) Tricks
4) Line Choice.

There is a third event, Big Air. It's a single jump for the biggest and best trick. I can't find a highlights video, so here's a recorded livestream.
