^ Yes I can relate to collapsing at home and crying after a gruelling ride! Cruel how a couple hundred meters are all that matters over hundreds of kilometers. Or millimeters!! Seems none of us believed in Wout huh? I really did have him and Schachmann down at first before I remembered how tired Wout looked.
His expression after the sprint was more relief in fulfilling his fabled palmarès then outright exuberance over his competitors. My grin faded when I saw a nonchalant Roglic waiting for the team car at the side of the road. Ida Shelling, you're on my radar now and not just for the tongue wagging Slayer salute to a friend.
I am happy with my 10 credits towards Luïc Vliegen, eventually I'll figure out how to ace the minor placings.
On to Fleche Wallone eh? I looked it up last night and laughed when I saw Valverde's history in the race. He's also in great form, so he's going in. I'll be researching today and brainstorming tonight while mowing the lawn. You can't tell me Roglic isn't destined to win one of these races before the Tour training.

Oh yeah, Søren Kragh Andersen ... What happened Sunday? All I saw of him was stamping on the brakes in frustration when a camera bike lingered too long.

It could be a Slovenian slugfest. I don't think Bala is quite there and Hirschi would surprise a lot of folks, perhaps himself included.
The cycling mole picked Pogacar but I'm going with Roglic since UAE will probably have Tadej wait for Marc. Yikes!
Roglic, Pidcock, Cosnefroy for the podium. Jeanne Dixon willed it to me.
Some pretty crazy firepower on Ineos. They could harbor a spoiler or three.

Same podium but I also squeezed in Schachmann. Agree on Ineos especially Adam Yates. Now I wonder if I should swap him in. The whole competitive brother thing? Couldn't pay the price for Alaphillipe, I'll wonder if he's sandbagging till he wins one or the season is over ...
...I swapped in Yates, that'll be my choice for the win ...

hirschi unimpressive since moving over to uae (another story brewing there...?) so not picking him ftw. could he win it (again)? sure.
hard to go against a slovenian currently but i will...especially when tadej is racing and trying to discern the uae pecking order but 'll take his teammate tales of brave ulissi ftw.
have a few "in case of fire, break glass" selections on the superclassico squad that are totally capable if uae can't get out of their own way again.
thinking pidcock makes the podium but dunno where.
will hafta go all in on l-b-l with 7 xfers left in the spring classics game. a little short on la flèche but whatevs.

Velogames should put in bonus points if a rider withdraws due to covid. That would really take it to the next level ... Like two hundred points. You'll start trying to "short" races. Too bad for Uno-x as well, how much of this can a pro squad sponsors stomach?
I left Valverde off I don't know why. I wonder if I still have time to swap for Schachmann.

Diego could be a disruptor. Or, as Chris Horner calls him, Dago.
I know this race has Valverde's name all over it so predicting a podium without him is as much of an upset prediction as any of our horrible predictions.
Ahlaphilippe, too, but he's been off lately. Bala is in better form. We'll see.

World champs take the Mur de Huy this go around. Sigh. That's what I get for not putting Valverde and Alaphillipe in. Honestly most annoyed about swapping out Julien Mertens ...

Death takes a holiday in fantasy land. canam73 didn't claw back any ground in Superclasico this stage but it's set up to be a nail biter going into the last three or four dozen races. ooga-booga sure knew what he was doing when he didn't touch hosting this league with a 39 1/2 foot pole.
Speaking of nail biters, we're within a top pick or a couple of top tens in the Spring Classics. I'm feeling Roglic strong but fear Julian Ahlathebounty is getting ready to Mur de Huy me. We're on to LBL.

Don't touch my mustache.
I see what you did there. Tough choice between that and I want to ride my bicycle. I want to ride my bike.
One day, life will be sweet like a rhapsody. Bohemian or not. Paint that masterpiece.

gimme the 11k climbs and multiples thereof. gimme final finishing sprint straights in slowly squeezed straights (or 90 degree
turns with trolley/railroad trax) mixed into the last half mile. gimme aggro moto boyz. gimme violent escapesque stages. gimme dirt(y)
ski run finishes. gimme a stupidly planned tt. gimme an active volcano. gimme the hardest stage of the year. gimme, in all its' g(l)ory, the giro...pleaze.

^ the streets of Rome are filled with tifosi
ancient tire tracks are everywhere
you can almost think that you're seeing double
on a cold dark night on the Spanish stair
Not long until pink things start waving around vigorously.
And we'll still be slogging it out in Superclasico until the leaves fall. Jeez.

This ridiculous stream of consciousness banter has caused many good older people to consider wandering up into the mountains, bettin' on forgettin' all the troubles that they knew. The younger ones just think about going full Lootenant Dan.
I predict a Primoz repeat in this good long punchy monument. He;s in great form and was just a huy bit short of Ahlaphilippe on the Mur.

We just bought our first one last year, even here the market is insane. Don't feel pressured to partake in this fantasy. Sit back, relax, forget about LBL so that my pick of Woods will guarantee me a podium regardless of where he has a mechanical on the climb
