Has Steephill.tv jumped the Shark??
In the past, Steephill.tv was an amazing resource for races.
I noticed it seems to not have as many updates or useful links, I had thought that was due to covid19 last year but now with lots of stage races underway their site, although maintained, seems a shadow of its former self.
Anyone else notice this?

I've always wondered, but never did any digging to discover, what drove the site to exist. I assumed it was mostly an enthusiast's labor of love, perhaps with some tangential connections to their day job. It has been a wonderful resource over the years.
I hope all is well with the person(s) behind the site and it's just a personal choice to do a little more or less from time to time.
I would NOT apply the term "jump the shark" to it if they choose to downsize a bit. As you say, there's still good info there. At this phase of the season and pandemic, it's tough to judge the "shadow" thing though perhaps it does seem a little lighter than one got spoiled to expect.
Things like the migration of sources behind pay walls (Cycling News!! VeloNews, too, though it always features less on steephill anyway) and what is and isn't available from the organizers may be having an impact. In the past, they really did find some amazing links. Including the weird bootleg feeds that were so in vogue ~10 years ago.

"jump the shark" means that something has become ridiculous or overdone. That's not what's happening to steephill.
I agree, it's not what it used to be. As George Harrison said, All Things Must Pass

Kit doesn't match
He posted this at the top of the page just recently:
Sorry, there will likely not be any significant updates to this site going forward with the possible exception of the Grand Tours and the Monuments. Currently evaluating options to keep this site going.

Thanks for the suggestions but none of them give the type of information we got with Steephill. Steephill had teams and competitors, results, maps, profiles, etc. Cycling news has some of that so maybe that's my best bet.

Put procyclingstats.com on your short list but not a steephill replacement

Yes, I hear you. I remember when I found steephill.tv and was enthralled with this strange site. All the great info and the spoiler alerts were great. He really must have been doing it for the love of bike racing. Sad to see it go, but maybe it will come back. Fingers crossed.

That would be a labor of love. And I'd love it if you pulled it off.
