Speaking of predictions, the OP really stepped in it posting this poll when he did. In sort of a cool way.

That said, one4smoke 's clever riff was so on point it would have been a disservice to all to keep that bottled up inside him. I trust it was made with playful respect. We should all expect and cherish it.

Actually looking at the options in the poll now.....
OK, so he won a stage. That's great and it some of us didn't expect it. But competing for the green jersey? no way. He's just not ever going to regain the form needed to compete with the likes of WvA.

True, he only threw mud on one of the 4 poll choices, which no one voted for in the few short hours before it became obsolete. one4smoke covered the range of options. With impeccable timing.
Options 3 and 4 are tough to choose between and at risk of splitting hairs. I assume Sagan will be back next year and his future wins will be better than the palmares of more than half the pros. But no more Terminator / Incredible Hulk / ThreePete.
The big question is whether he'll knock Cav off his bike again.

I don't think he'll win another Green jersey in the TdF, but I hope I'm wrong!
When will we ask this question, "So... Is Pogacar Done?"

After 8 stages Sagan only has 86 points, to Wout's 264 points (284 after getting 20 in intermediate sprint on the current stage 9). I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's not going to wear the green jersy this year, much less win it

We thought this was a star of generations and all of a sudden we have Wout, Mathieu and Pogacar…
Not taking anything from Peters palmares. It is truly one of a kind.
I remember the WC in Bergen when I thought ”I haven’t seen Peter all day, that’s a good sign. But he can’t win this one. No he can’t. Or can he?”

There have certainly been wunderkinds since then. Were there any before?
Though thinking about it again, it was less that he was young and more that he was such a character. We've certainly had characters before.
