The supertuck position has been banned for a couple of years. I wonder why. I used it during the last race I did a few years ago in order to stretch out the chase to give my teammate room to follow the guys chasing me. The position isn't unstable at high speeds, in fact just the opposite. The only downside is that if you have negotiate a difficult corner you may have to brake and change position quickly. I have used that position up to speeds of 90 kph. I have had friction burns on my thighs from contact with the front wheel while following curves in the road

I forget if they had crashes that led to the rule. I think they are generally worried about speed though, which is a legit worry. I feel like that rider should have known that if he did a tuck that looked like the supertuck, he would be in trouble. Also, what he did looks like it would take a lot of strength and thus possibly be more dangerous than the regular supertuck
