allez Floyd Landis!

maillot jaune on the road after a horrible day in the alps where he conceded 10 minutes.

that's the mark of a champion, guys. he's getting no help and asking for none.

that's what seperates guys like landis from candy-asses like bobby julich and also-rans who always find a way to lose like hincapie.

Forza Floyd Landis!

Ballsy move, Ballsiest move of the year actually, I love it.

baj32161 07-20-06 07:43 AM

Perhaps you may have wanted to put the word "SPOILER" in your title. But I do agree with you. The guy has b*lls!

substructure 07-20-06 07:52 AM

Don't Crack Man!!! Don't Crack!!!

-VELOCITY- 07-20-06 07:58 AM

Wow. I just checked the Tour tracker. The man is truly a beast. Go for it Floyd!

lemurhouse 07-20-06 08:00 AM

This has really been an entertaining race this year. End of domination by disco has really opened the door for others. Floyd's effort today has been epic!

from letour.fr:

"Yellow Jersey For A Six-Pack Of Beer

After Floyd Landis regained the lead of the Tour de France at the top of L’Alpe d’Huez he decided that he wanted a beer to celebrate the moment. On the road down to his hotel, his team car pulled over and the American traded a yellow jersey for a six-pack of beer with a spectator."

Maybe that's why he bonked - he had a hangover!:D

Smoothie104 07-20-06 08:14 AM

The Joux Plane, can he hold!?!

This is like Chiapucci in 1992 on the way to Sestriere, only better!

lemurhouse 07-20-06 08:24 AM

He's riding away. This is very exciting.

baj32161 07-20-06 08:31 AM

I am loving the HELL out of this!!!!!!!!
GO FLOYD!!!!!

Grasschopper 07-20-06 08:31 AM

<whinny voice>hey this is a spoiler...you should be banned...then burned at the cross...then peed on. Damn you people posting spoilers</whinny voice>

Ok sorry back to reality. Guy has a pair and today he is using them...seriously though he had to do something, he wasn't going to get 8 min or whatever in the TT. Even if he "only" gets 4 or 5 min back today he still has a shot at the podium with a great TT. Lets hope he doesn't crack and if he doesn't that this effort doesn't significantly impact his TT performance.

Ant 07-20-06 08:35 AM

Guy's all out...it's so good to see someone not give up and go all ape**** out there.

substructure 07-20-06 09:01 AM

He moved to 3rd in the Best Climber. The man is just Mad!!! Mad I tell You!!!

Grasschopper 07-20-06 09:01 AM

FLY Floyd....FLY down that mountain. God I hope the pavement is good and or he doesn't make any mistakes.

substructure 07-20-06 09:11 AM

He's a freak of nature!!!

0-20 in 5 Sec 07-20-06 09:13 AM

He did it!

Grasschopper 07-20-06 09:15 AM

Well he won the stage...but 5:35 on Sastre has Sastre ahead of him by 0:47...keep in mind Floyd took 1:10 out of Sastre in the other ITT. I can't wait to watch the TT on Sat now.

Who said this TdF was going to be boaring?

No kidding right? I love it...this is so exciting.

Grasschopper 07-20-06 09:31 AM

So unless something really wierd happens on a pretty flat stage tomorrow or into Paris which they don't race for the GC right? Anyway that brings us 3 riders with a shot going into the final TT. Pereiro, Sastre 0:11 back and Flandis 0:31 back. Kloden is 2:29 back and I don't buy that he is going to take 2 min out of Floyd in the TT.

Did anyone catch the announcers call Floyd Flandis yesterday...I was like cool they read BF. :D

lemurhouse 07-20-06 09:34 AM

God. Truly an epic stage. This is why the TDF is so great, so compelling.

Yes, that's twice I've heard it now.

cycle17 07-20-06 09:37 AM

Wow! What a way to battle back. I thought Furious Flyod was probably toast after the last stage, but this is terrific news!

jqnj 07-20-06 09:37 AM

Nadicus Gigantis. Nouff Sedd.

dmotoguy 07-20-06 09:40 AM

probably one of my happiest moments in cycling this morning when i woke up and read the results... I cant wait to get the dvds and watch it... Floyd is a truly great rider.

Gus Riley 07-20-06 09:40 AM

One of the greatest stages in history! WOW! I have a feeling tomorrow's stage is going to be interesting, considering the TT prowness of Landis.
