In an older article (published before last year's TdF):

How does the devil earn money?

I travel to more than 100 races each season and have a sponsor, LUK, a German auto parts maker. I sleep in my car or in public parks. During the Tour de France I lose six to eight pounds because I eat only crisp_bread and canned foods. Many fans also invite me to have breakfast with them. I need to save my money for the wintertime. From October until April I don't earn any money--I build the world's biggest and smallest bicycles in my garage. I have managed to get a lot of entries in the Guinness book of world records with them. I show them in my bicycle museum.
A friend of mine mentioned that quite a few people on the hills are willing to give El Diablo a beer and some cash.

I think he's cool. I'd give him 5 bucks. Didn't get to see him on TV though.

I heard Didi was attacked Sunday by a cow that tore the sleeve off his costume.

Anyone seen pics or got more details?

borat was by far the 'fan of the stage' the devil was a close second.

i saw him coming though. guess he paints his pitchforks on the road a little distance before he is set up to give a warning to sinners.

isnt that part of the reason we watch is to see what the fans are doing , if you were there wouldnt you want to be noticed, maybe not to that extreme but a little
