Whoa. Here's the end of article:
"Richards said he finds it offensive that a rider he knows "for sure is mixed up with doping" is leading the Tour de France when the race is fighting for its survival.
"Look at what the Tour has gone through this past year," Richards said. "Ullrich, Basso and [Operación] Puerto last year, and the Telekom confessions this year. Riders are putting their salaries and their careers on the line to help convince people cycling is clean and this guy gets up and tells people, ‘You can trust me,' something I know for a fact is not true. The stupidity, the arrogance, the hubris... it's incomprehensible. Someone needs to know about this."
I have to admit, Richards's story sounds legitimate from what I've read so far. But I need to remind myself that it doesn't mean that he's doped up now.

Haha.
I am reserving judgement for the time being.
But now when I see Rasmussen, all I'll be able to think about is fried chicken.
Thanks a lot!

So maybe there won't be a winner this year, as soon as a new guy takes over the lead, somebody will come up with somthing and he'll get kicked out, all the way until the end, until nobody who leads is clean.

In the Velonews article, I like the part where the Chicken gets furious when he finds out the other guy dumped the blood substitute down the sink instead of bringing it to Italy (presumably illegally). It’s hard to imagine the soft-spoken Chicken blowing his top.

What I find interesting is that Rasmussan trains in Mexico. Anyone who knows anything about Mexico is the fact that there are NO, I mean NO, controls over pharmacies and drug distribution. If you were going to pick a country where you could train and dope, Mexico would clearly be a good idea.

Asked by VeloNews about the charges at a post-race press conference following the Tour's 12th stage on Friday, Rasmussen said he was familiar with Richards' name but declined to comment further on the allegations.
"I cannot confirm any of that. I do know the name," Rasmussen said.
I cannot confirm any of that? I think this is a great line. I mean, sounds like he is innocent right?
Mike - a little bit of advice. You are not UNDER OATH. You can lie.

Here is an interesting tid-bit:
Thus does the Tour finds itself with something close to a worst-case scenario: The man wearing its talismanic maillot jaune rides under a cloud. Neither piece of ill news, from the Danish Cycling Union or the ex-mountain biker, is enough to get Rasmussen tossed from the race. He only missed two drug tests; the UCI considers three a positive test.
