Negative Points?

I was just looking at the points competition results. Simon Spilak is in last place with -25 points. How does one go about getting negative points?

A penalty of some sort? <shrug>

Possibly a condition of him not being eliminated that one day - I think Stage 14.

That's a penalty. The usual reason is drafting behind a team care for too long.
