Vuelta to be broadcast on Universal Sports in the USA
August 28-Sept. 22. This is the same TV station that broadcast the Giro. They are broadcast free over-the-air in many US cities.

The Vuelta overlaps with the Tour of Missouri (Sept. 7-13). Universal Sports is supposed to be broadcasting the Tour of Missouri live.

I love it! I get 5 or 6 channels with my rabbit ears, and Universal is one of them. My wife will be upset...

Sweet! US is awesome. I watched every stage of Giro last May. Besides US is the only channel (out of like 500 cable channels**********) broadcasting triathlons on a regular basis.

I'm liking Universal Sports more and more. They're Giro coverage was nice. Wasn't spectacular, but the showed every stage and even had some reruns of it. And to be honest, looking back it was nice not to have All-Lance, All-Astana coverage throughout the race. They were definitely more balanced than Versus.

Very cool! I love their online feed.
I am happy that Versus broadcast the Tour, better than no one doing it, but it was 50% ads / 50% content and a pathetic free online feed. I ended up watching as much as possible on Eurosport UK despite poor picture quality.

For us, the Giro on Universal on Comcast was a pixelated piece of poo. Looked like a You Tube sized computer screen picture, stretched out to a big screen television.

I was all set to switch over to Direct, but then the Giro aired. Plus, Universal carried a few other races. Now with the Vuelta, my switch has been put on hold a little longer.
