It's standard procedure. If you fail the first test, you can request that they test the second sample. There have been a few instances where the athlete failed the A test, but did not fail the B test; that happened to Marion Jones, a few months before she admitted to doping.

I realize it's standard procedure - it's just a shame that most riders don't have the balls to own up to it, that's all.
