Armstrong and Simeoni and the Breakaway
Filippo Simeoni Unwelcome in the Peloton
Anyone have comments on the situation??
That's the first I heard of this incident.
I thought it was very interesting regarding the politics of cycling and how Lance said he was defending all the cyclists in the Peloton from someone within their group who is trying to destroy the sport.
I heard Bernard Hinault use to do this too when guys tried to breakaway and he felt that they shouldn't (not sure of the details but I think I heard it on OLN during one of the Road to the Tour episodes).

I agree with Smoothie. I appreciate LA's loyalty to a friend but when the friend says things like "EPO is no more dangerous than orange juice" maybe it's time to create a little distance.

i'm willing to bet that the good dr has a cocktail that is taken that eludes the drug tests. i think he developed a way to increase indurance without increasing RBC counts that dramatically. of course it isn't banned yet, so lance is legal....
