My bike, on TV!
So, My wife and I have been watching the TdF. She has gotten very interested in the race. I can't get her to ride her bike (Peugot 12-speed Mixte-frame), but she is wild over the race. ??? anyway, after about a week of watching the race, and seeing the same commercials over and over again, I noticed something interesting about one of the BikeBeat spots......my bike is in it!!! Bright orange, down in the left corner of the screen, against the wall of the store, sitting in the rack where I first saw it. Not one just like it, my actual bike, before I bought it! Kinda cool, eh?
Ecco.

Hmmmm. Getting the wife a bike. The joys... and the horrors
To be honest though, my wife is the same way. She's working this summer (she was a high school teacher last year (I still am )) and she's complained several times that she hasn't felt like she's been able to watch the Tour as much this year. She almost gets teary when I tell her I skipped live coverage to watch it with her. God love her

Sure, it sounds like a good idea to get your wife involved in cycling, but then comes the reality: A second bike to tune and crawling along at 16 mph when we ride together.
Hope she doesn't read this; I love you honey.

my wife could give a rats (you know what) about the TdF and cycling even though she knows how much I like the sport. I guess it's a whole venus/mars thing.
