Can't count on the Sierra climbs until July, too much snow. Eastern Sierra climbs would be epic, but where do you have room for a summit finish and get crowds?
I've read a rumor that Stage 6 would go 39 to 2 and then to Big Bear (138?).
As of the last 30 years 39 is not open to 2 (though can be made passable, maybe) and along 39 should be closed a few years due to fires.
I think they might have prob's with this.
I think the date change is a bad thing and they still don't and will not get good Sierra climbs in May.
