Talking with Cadel Evans

I love my job.

This morning during my radio programme I got to talk to Cadel Evans about the Tour de France, his move to BMC, his involvement in the 2010 Tour Down Under, his new book, Lance Armstrong and a few other bits and pieces.

You can listen to the interview online.

That's awesome! I haven't really been following cycling for the past few weeks since the season is over but I came back to the forums today to see all kinds of stuff going on Evans to BMC and Contador leaving Astana, it's going to be a very interesting year and I'm really looking forward to it!

It certainly will be an interesting year. BMC isn't yet guaranteed a place in the Tour de France so it's a big gamble for Evans but he seems to very much know what he's doing.

I would think BMC gets into the tour... I mean World Champ + US Road Champ + 08 World Champ? Teams are often invited based on how much publicity they bring. BMC would certainly bring publicity... I also wrote some stuff here about BMC vs. Silence Lotto

Not to get off topic but as a huge Hincapie fan, I'm glad to see the team is gaining momentum, not that Evans will be supporting him during Roubaix or anything it's just nice to see the build up of the team because everyone thought it was crazy for him to leave Columbia.

I'd love your job if I had it. Good interview. I like his take about doping -- very mature & lucid. (Although I wouldn't call the UCI approach to testing "no holds barred.")
I would love to see him win the Tour. And like he said very honestly a lot will depend on what team Contador will be with.

Thanks for the link.
