I remember when Lance cameback from cancer and all the talk was about how he used to be an *******, but cancer was a life-changing experience and now he's changed. However, in light of all the reports, not only did he seem to go back to the old way of doping, but his confrontational demeanor did not change, which begs the question: Is there really such a thing as a life-changing experience? Or, maybe, are some people just not capable of change?
With these kinds of people, you simply don't have a choice. It's their way or nothing. Just have to move on.
My .2 cents.

CNN has Lance Armstrong special hour long right now
Tyler Hamilton saying Armstrong (his roomate) had EPO right in his refrigerator, Tyler talking about container full of EPO that Armstrong accessed in Le Tour by making a phone call, in a few minutes it arrived. Lots of devastating interviews with former teammates.
This entire show will be rebroadcast check your listing, for instance about 1-1/2 hours from now 2 AM PST (5AM EST). CNN network.

Tyler saying, how Lance and he injected EPO right in the tents in the middle of the crowds around the start lines of the TdF. Crowds just a few feet away outside the tent when this goes down.

Regardless of what's fact or fiction, if CNN told me the sky was blue I would not believe it. At least they didn't do this on MSDNC.

Missed this, but the story was called "The World According to Lance Armstrong"... doesn't appear to be available yet, but here's the promo:

It's a parade of direct testimony from several people who look straight into the camera and describe first hand their observation of Lance using illegal substances and/or of Lance talking about how he had used them. It is hosted by an ABC correspondent (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) but apparently produced by CNN. Also testimony about certain leaders and doctors on some of Lance's teams. There are several schemes described about how it all was kept secret.
Short interviews with general remarks on the subject by commentators too, like Phill Liggett.

Looks like CNN just bought the Australian documentary The World According to Lance, that has been available online since 15 October.

Ijsbrand, Yes, that is the exact program I saw and posted here, the same that CNN had yesterday night. Exactly the same. Thanks for the heads up!

I can attest that some people cannot and will not change. I have one like that in my family, my father, and I haven't spoken to him in almost 20 years.
With these kinds of people, you simply don't have a choice. It's their way or nothing. Just have to move on.
My .2 cents.

The ABC had an interest in this because of the machinations going on in Cycling Australia, which has had two key officials lose their positions over their admissions of doping; each was in different eras.
The impact of the Armstrong episode has had effects more far reaching than just the US. Hence my interest in how all this pans out.

I saw most of it, and it was details we've known about for many years, but more compelling to see & hear first person, instead of reading transcripts or articles with quotes.

Yes, good point, more compelling to hear first person descriptions. I used to give Armstrong benefit of doubt, even though I thought it somewhat more likely than not that he was guilty. After all there was at least a fair chance he was innocent. Until I saw that program. It is beyond a reasonable doubt to me now.

out walking the earth
this was posted when it was aired on Australian TV and was posted in the mega thread. Really, nothing new to see here so as per protocol I'm merging it.

Let's see: masking agents, avoiding races other than the TdF to avoid doping controls there, moving around a lot and living in places inconvenient for off season testers to get to, microdosing, not being tested for the drugs he was using for a good part of his career, timing his doses to avoid testing with them in his system, knowing when ""random" testing was going to occur, homologous blood doping which isn't detectable, getting backdated prescriptions to cover a positive test, and, when all that failed and he tested positive, bribing officials to make it go away. Did I miss any?

Let's not forget that Armstrong's samples from the 1999 Tour tested positive for EPO. These results could not be used to sanction him, but the science was clear enough.

Where is the hard evidence that dope testing "should" have detected LA's cancer? If the argument is around circulating testosterone levels, these are not an accurate diagnostic marker. Dope tests are designed to "detect" dopers, not to diagnose diseases. And they aren't very good at even the former, due to the very high false negative rate.
