Wow...the TV feed provided no indication of the speed...quite shocking to just see him slide into frame. I know in the interview he indicated he was cooking along and his jersey certainly showed the after effects but it's a quite different seeing it at real speed. Lucky he didn't slide right into the curb there.

They say his pedal clipped the curb but he looks to be quite aways away from the curb. But it's hard to say with this video. I'm surprised he didn't get hurt worse than he did and he is lucky that he slid into the curb at a ramp. He might have broken some serious bones otherwise.
