Sort of an unapologetic apology, no?

I don't speak spanish -- am I understanding this right, from the translation, that he basically said: I gave him some slack, then he took advantage when I needed slack, and this was payback for that.

I don't get it either. Andy is fired up, wants to get back into the leaders jersey and we have all this drama unfolding before our eyes. Both Schleck and Contador impress the he$$ out of me. We can feast during tomorrows stage.

Impress really isn't the right word. Simply amazing. The way these 2 ride against each other and above everyone else. Superb!!
The way AS rode through everyone after the mechanical. I last felt this way when Landis soloed to victory ..

Lets see.
"Hello all, today I finally made it up to the podium and I'm happy for that. Hmmm, pretty much about the circumstances, it pretty much came when Andy had a mechanical problem I attacked on the last climb. The race had been pretty much over (outcome). Hmmm, well maybe I'm wrong that's how I saw it, but I'm sorry. At that moment the only thing one thinks about is going as fast a possible. Well, I feel comfortable in thinking it was fair play and it was clean. That is the most important thing." He goes on to talk about some incident with Andy and Frank and it being impossible to stop the whole peloton just for them to catch up. "I received a lot criticism from people for having done that." Goes back to tapa de ? and the peloton breaking up a bunch as a result of a pileup. "That led to Andy gaining time on me, so I still think that I would do it again, no. Those kinds of things that happened today are the type of things I don't like. I hope that the kind of relationship Andy and I have will continue to be as good as it is now."
His lisp made it difficult to understand at times.

He's still got to do six more wins (starting with this Sunday) to do that. Right now he's aiming to match Greg LeMond, et. al.

What worries me as a Canadian is when Ryder Hesjedal eventually starts winning Grand Tours left and right and the European sophisticates start sneering about beavers climbing up the mountains. Sniff...what's wrong with beavers?

So Contador has a lisp? Is that a lisp worse than the one most Spaniards appear to have compared to the way Spanish is spoken in other countries?
But what I really want to know is WHY Schleck's chain came off. Anyone know?

Pretty sure Contador had an Astana mechanic sabotage it.

Hmm that gives AC something in common with a far better rider than Lance. Though I have to admit AC didn't pick up any extra jerseys in those races.
